Do you mean a link that doesn't necessarily show the entire URL? Like a link that is just one word that you click on? It takes a bit of HTML code... I'll use brackets so that it doesn't get converted into the code here, but when you want to do it "for real," replace the [ or ] with < or >.
Here's an example using the link from this post:
[a href="http://www.gmu.edu/
departments/economics/wew/misc/
days.doc"]Type your words here[/a]
(Don't put any line breaks in that whole thing, like don't hit enter to start a new line anywhere--I had to do it in that example or it would cut off and you wouldn't be able to see the whole line of code.)
Which would show up as
Type your words here
You can also have the link open in a new window automatically by including target="blank" before the href part. Hope that helps!
Oh, duh, and Blogger has a button that will do the same thing. I just like to make stuff more difficult than it needs to be... :)
Type your word or phrase that you want to be the link, then highlight it and click the little picture of the globe. It looks like a face with glasses. Paste the URL in the window that pops up and it will automatically do the HTML code for you!
Easier, right? :P
