salute

This weekend was a good one. A nice mother's day, not so severe weather and good times. I visited a friend in Cleveland and was treated to The Boulevard of 500 flags. It was amazing, and I was so in awe of everything it had to offer, I actually choked back tears walking through it. When we first pulled in, just the thought of there being 500 flags flying above was amazing enough..this is just what you see driving into the parking lot.

When we got out of the car, I could see the plaques that were attached to the poles with the names and branches of service of veterans. Very nice, we walk to the gazebo and I notice the row of flags one from every branch of the military. When we walk to the left, I see a fire in a "dish" atop a tall metal pole. It was lit when the olympic torch went through cleveland. It burns constantly as a reminder of those soldiers we've lost.

Further to the left was a circle which enclosed a lamp post light some marble from the lobby and a beam from the World Trade Center, granite from the pentagon, and turf from the field in PA. I was very emotional, looking at what had been collected representing not only the areas, but the victims and the survivors and the families and the friends and the emotions. Whew.

I finally hung a flag on my house this weekend. It was a good weekend.

Homemade Love

I love my house and how I feel in it. I have said that ever since I moved into it in November, and now that it's spring, I feel no differently. It looks little from the outside, but it's actually three full floors and a basement.

NOT GEARED TOWARDS ANYONE..JUST MY THOUGHTS!!! REALLY!!!!

I was going to post yesterday, but I was boycotting.

I know, I know...I come to blogger willingly knowing what they are offering and what I'm entitled to. But I still feel it necessary to let them know that without me (the legal blogger) they would not exist, or at least their financial situation would be different right? Now if all the other visiting bloggers and the illegal bloggers (those that don't pay for the cable hook up that lets them get online or those using public computers) would just join me, we'd really make a difference.

I demand that blogger change the wording and look of their website. I'm ready to march to show that it's my right to make such demands.

Is anyone with me? Doesn't matter...I'm but one
