Death

Words like "Son" and "Brother" followed by phrases such as "Died for his country" and "Taken too soon" echoed through the church and heads nodded in agreement. Covered with a flag before leaving the church and carried by loved ones, the coffin was taken to the vehicle outside. Outside, where there were caring people with their kindness and their symbols of America lining the street to shield this soldier and his friends and family from the ignorance of protest.

At the cemetery, black nylon flowers bloom in succession to shield the mourners from the water droplets falling from the grey sky. The rain began just as Taps began. It was as if a director from behind the scenes motioned to the special effects person at precisely that moment.

Patches of green uniforms spread over the field, all motionless, all attentive. The rifles, which were just moments before lifted, loud and smoking, grew silent and the ceremony continued. Awards were awarded, medals were presented and the flag was folded and handed to the grieving mother. Only then could the sadness begin to budge to make way for pride and admiration.

hee, hee...i've got secrets...hmm....

I KNOW IT'S BEEN AWHILE..STOP YELLING AT ME...oh, that's me huh?

So having alot to do really is a good thing. Except for the fact that at any time the police could storm this place and arrest me for blog neglect. Even my nephew is yelling at me. sheesh. Ok, here is an idea I came up with. There are alot of "google" this word, and "google" that word games to play. I'm changing what LEESA did just a little and satisfying my family as well!! Here we go.

I thought of a word that describes different members of my family, googled that word and posted the picture here. In another post, I'll give the answers, but for now, I thought my bored and pestering family..lol..can try to match up the picture and the person. Have fun!

Weekends ROCK!!

Thursday was the first bonfire at the house of Amy! The kids had a blast and the food was good! YAY spring! I did take a picture to put here, but my phone and the radiowaves it takes to send pictures are hating each other this morning.

Saturday I got the wire needed so I can play my iPod on the stereo in my car. I almost cried.

Saturday night I got hypnotized! I didn't think it could happen, but there I was forgetting my name, feeling the vibrating massage from my otherwise non-vibrating chair, telling jokes and acting like a disney character. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend it to everyone! (and next time, there will be a Terry on the stage, but not this one!!!!)

I met new (and tall) people and talked to some old friends.

The entire weekend was just great! I haven't said that (I don't think) since football season ended. haha!
